- Be fair–compare the work to an agreed-upon standard, goal, or expectation
I received your report yesterday at 3:00p.m. regarding the improvements you would like to make to your area–just when you promised it to me. I read through it. There were three options we talked about, each with a list of pros and cons. Then, at the end of the report, you made a recommendation. You said that “After careful analysis, I’d recommend option 3.” I took your report to a meeting with my manager this morning, and we accepted it verbatim. I felt very supported by our work. I appreciate the effort you took to pull the report together and to get it to me on time. I’m pleased with your analysis.
